We know transmissions! Heck- It used to be our middle name!

With so many moving parts, transmissions can easily be the scariest part on your vehicle. Not to us!

We’ve been the transmission experts for over 50 years, so if it’s repairing one small part or doing a complete replacement, you can trust us to get you back on the road of life.

Our certified technicians can properly diagnose your concern and perform the smallest of repairs all the way up to overhauling or replacing the transmission in your vehicle.

We are a Preferred Installer for Jasper Engines Transmissions. Visit our Youtube channel to learn more about Jasper products.

Automatic transmissions work by transmitting power from the engine to the wheels through a fluid medium.  The fluid lubricates moving parts and also cools the transmission.  Over time, the additives in the fluid break down and become contaminated, diminishing its lubricating qualities.  Changing the fluid at the correct intervals can help prevent premature wear and damage to your automatic transmission.  Your owner’s manual specifies the automatic transmission service interval for your vehicle.

 Automatic Transmission Service

The transmission pan is removed, inspected and cleaned.  A new filter and pan gasket are installed.  The transmission fluid held in the pan, about 30% – 40% of the total, is removed and refilled.  All applicable adjustments are made to bands, shift linkage and throttle pressure.  The vehicle is then test driven for proper operation and the fluid level is then re-checked.

Automatic Transmission Fluid Exchange Service

The fluid exchange removes and refills nearly 100% of the transmission fluid held in the transmission, including the torque converter.  The vehicle is then test driven for proper operation and the fluid level is then re-checked.

Automatic Transmission Fluid HotFlush

When a transmission fails, debris consisting of metal particles and clutch material gets lodged into the transmission cooling system.  If this debris is not completely removed, you will contaminate the new transmission and cause anything from shifting problems all the way to possible failure of the new unit.

This leaves you with two choices:  1) Replace the transmission cooling system. (For example:  Replace the radiator and/or external cooler)  2) Flush the system with the HotFlush. We have chosen to invest in the HotFlush.

We use the HotFlush to flush the transmission cooling system before installing a new unit back into a vehicle.  Using this machine saves the customer to cost of replacing a contaminated cooler and/or heat exchanger.
