Your service advisor interviews you about the concern and documents every note. Those notes go straight to the technician, and the two of them talk it through before anyone touches the vehicle.

Next comes the preliminary inspection. We visually inspect the whole vehicle, check all vital fluids for level and condition, scan the modules for fault codes, and get a read on previous work and overall condition. We are not chasing the repair yet. We are building a picture.

Then Testing & Analysis begins. Here is why that step matters. A fault code is like a zip code. It tells you the general area and nothing more. Testing & Analysis finds the street address, walks up to the front door, opens it, and shows you what is actually inside. Plenty of people call asking us to replace the part their code pointed at. Sometimes that part is fine.

Your advisor then reviews the inspection report with you and presents a written estimate. Nothing moves forward until you approve it.
